Global health is a defining issue of our time, and universities have a tremendous responsibility to help reduce the burden of disease in communities around the world and help build an infrastructure for progress and understanding through research, education and service.

The Watson Institute's research is organized around some of the most important questions of our time: on the global economy, international security, and global governance. These questions are analyzed through the lenses of multiple academic disciplines with an emphasis on policy relevance. The Watson Institute offers a number of fellowship opportunities appropriate for global health projects and research.

The Swearer Center for Public Service serves as a hub of debate, study, and action on pressing social issues. Based on our mission and principles, we focus on a set of targeted issues in order to maximize our potential for both community impact and student learning.
