Brown University’s International Health Institute (IHI) was established in 1988 with the mission to improve the health of populations in the Global South through transdisciplinary research, training and service.
Who we are
IHI includes faculty, students and staff from the four departments of Brown University’s School of Public Health: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Behavioral and Social Sciences and Health Services, Policy & Practice. We work directly with academic institutions, care delivery partners and public health leaders and policy makers across the globe to find evidence-based solutions to the most pressing global health issues, in partnership with our international collaborators.
